As we are shedding skin all of the time it is impossible
to always get rid of it completely and this can lead to
a build up of dead skin cells on your body.
This can leave skin feeling bumpy or dry and just
looking generally dull. A scrub, or exfoliator if
your prefer, will contain an ingredient for scrubbing whether it be beads,
apricot kernel, salt or one of the many others.
The
best way to use a body scrub is once or twice a week in
the shower on wet skin use it all over your body
scrubbing away dead skin cells using small circular
movements. A general rule is use approximately a 10p
piece size of product for each arm, leg etc. Make sure you
pay special attention to places where you noticed
particularly dry patches, for example knees or elbows.
Not only will the scrubbing motion get rid of the dead
skin but it will also help to increase circulation to
help tone and break down fatty deposits. When finished
ensure you rinse off all of the product.
To improve the experience even more make sure you
moisturise your skin after the shower to replace any
moisture it would have lost and to keep your skin
smooth.
