Shaving brushes help to enhance your shaving experience
by giving you a more comfortable, closer shave.
The
bristles on a shaving brush have to be a balance between
the right degree of resistance and softness, with the
ability to raise the beard and generate a fine, rich
lather.
It is also extremely important that there is a stand for
the brush as the bristles should always dry down and not
up to the handle. The latter is less hygienic and can
lead to the bristles falling out. You should always dry
your brush by hanging it on the stand provided.
Before using the brush for the first time wash it with
soap and water and then rinse in clean water. When you
are ready to shave, immerse bristles in clean, warm
water and shake off excess. Apply shaving crème to wet
brush and distribute the crème about the moistened area
to be shaved before working up to a creamy lather in a
circular motion. (You may need to use a little more
shave crème with a new shaving brush.) Always rinse the
brush in clean water after use and do not boil or soak.
It is best for your skin if after shaving and rinsing
you use a face wash, rinse and pat dry with a clean
towel. Then complete the experience by applying a
facial moisturiser. For more tips on shaving
